The Leaders of the Future is a teen-led 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to transform the city of Pontiac through community service and positive action.

The LF was founded in September of 2013 by Pontiac School District students Anders Engnell, Courtland Sargent, Lauje Scott, Noel Waterman, and Steven Martinez. They wanted to create leadership opportunities for high schoolers, and three years later they’ve succeeded in bringing together thirty high school students every Friday night for leadership training and two Saturdays a month for community service.

Run by an 8-member Executive Team, our Leaders of the Future family plans to continue our phenomenal growth in the upcoming years. We have three main activities as an organization: Friday Meetings, Superhero Saturdays, and the LF Golden Week.

We accept high school students.

We produce Social Entrepreneurs.
